I made this card to prove to myself that I could do a one layer card! Although I have to admit I am still fighting the urge to add some ribbon and bling… I stamped a variety of butterfly stamps – (I have a lot so it could have been any brand) and stamped them in different coloured inks – these were – Stampin Up Certainly Celery, bashful blue,so saffron, and Pink Piroutte, and then fussy cut around the outside edge. The sentiment stamp ( from stampin Up) was stamped in black to stand out.Interesting exercise, but I won’t be packing away my bling any time soon! Til tomorrow…..

Todays card is a favourite. I lean towards nature inspired cards when I am making cards just for fun, and this one is no exception. The designer paper is from Stampin up – it’s a retired collection, but I bought up big when it was available because I fell in love with it!Cardstock is stampin up early espresso and very vanilla, and I used my stampin up designer frames embossing folder and labels collection framelits. I punched out the centre of the embossed oval with an oval punch, and stamped an image from Stampin up organic grace stamp set to set behind the resulting frame.a little linen twine and a stamped and cut out butterfly finished off this one.I have completed a card order today, and now I am starting to organise my january classes, which will be here before I know it! I fell in love with this Stampin Up Elegant Bird die, although i didn’t realise it would cut such a large bird – all the same he’s a beauty! On this card I used Stampin Up Twitterpated designer paper, bazzil and stampin up cardstock – basic Grey, a My Minds eye brad, button and ribbon. I ran the body of the bird through the cuttlebug with my trusty swiss dots folder – the first embossing folder I ever bought and still the one I reach for most.No Cards tonight as it’s shopping night and I have to get my gear together for my Paper Flourish class tomorrow – I am looking forward to seeing all my ladies. Stampin Up have a great new little catalogue out, and I have bought quite a lot from it as I love the papers and stamps they have come up with so over the next few days you will be seeing what I have made with my new purchases! Todays card are made using the Apothecary Art stamps, and the Labels Collection die , which fit exactly to the stamps – no fussy cutting involved! I have coloured the images with my ink pads and a blender pen,and haven’t been too fussy – just quickly colouring over more to tint , and matted all on a piece of Soft suede cardstock, cut using the next size up in the labels dies. The background paper is Stampin Up Attic Boutique designer papers. the other side of this paper had gorgeous big roses on it, so it was a hard decision to use this side! A bit of punched greenery( martha Stewart punch) , flower and lace on one card and just the lace on the other. This stamp set has great potential, and I am looking forward to finding some more time in the craft room to create more with it1 Very early post today as I am teaching over at the retirement village this evening and I still have to get all my gear together! Til tomorrow…P.S. if you are interested in one of the Stampin Up mini catalogues, contact Kay – there is a link to her blog on the right hand side of my blog.

Best Wishes, Female, friendship, Get Well soon, here for you, Mothers day, thank you birthday, get well card ideas, handmade card ideas, icard ideas for mothers day, martha stewart punch, prima meadow llark paper, ribbon, spellbinders label 14 Leave a comment
Prima meadow lark paper collection, and I used a spellbinders die ( labels 14) to cut out the bird image, which I then inked around the edges. There are two different layers of paper here, one of which has a Martha Stewart punched border. I punched little circles at the edge of the bird image and threaded some matching ribbon through. The sentiment is stamped onto a matching chipboard piece.Today while in the craft room looking for something ( I tend to spend a fair bit of time looking for things!) I found a gorgeous Rose stamp that I hadn’t inked yet. Whatever I was going to do was forgotten and I have spent the afternoon stamping roses and practising my colouring skills. All in all a great afternoon!Spent a lovely morning at Paper flourish teaching my Monday class, so a lovely crafty day today. Til tomorrow….

Hello! If you have been following my sketch series you would by now realise I don’t have very much of my original 2 sheets of 12 x 12 paper left! In fact only enough to cut these 3 squares and punch some flowers out of the scraps! So here it is a clean and simple card. The cardstock mat is stampin Up Pool Party, the paper is of course Stampin Up Everyday enchantment, and the punches are Martha Stewarts hydrangea punches. I made use of that old mis printed book and die cut a few petals from Stampin Up blossom party die. My American Crafts neapolitan card follows the sketch exactly, and I used a Stampin Up cardstock – blushing Bride for the matting on this one.Tomorrow we move on to something different – Til tomorrow….
