A wedding card

IMG_3590 (Medium)This is a wedding card I made for an order,I usually take inspiration for the colours for wedding cards from the colours of the invitation, in this case it was white, black and silver. The small amount of patterned paper is from kaisercraft After 5 collection, as is the label with the sentiment ( stampin Up mr. and mrs stamp)and the die cuts which are from the collectable pack The two hearts are die cut with Do Crafts x-cut hearts and I ran them through a couple of different embossing folders to add a little texture. All that was left to do was add bling, lace and a flower! I have had a hugely enjoyable day in the craft room today, it’s been a shabby chic day in there today, and a little tidying up and using some old stash happened  as well. All in all very productive! Wedding Card

IMG_4191 (Medium)This is a wedding card I made for an order. I took the colours from the invitation, which often gives you a hint of the colour theme for the wedding, and always nice to be able to make a card in the same colours as the wedding theme. I used basic black and pink pirouette stampin up cardstock, and die cut two hearts using an x-cuts die, then ran  each heart through embossing folders – cuttlebug divine swirls and swiss dots. I also embossed the bottom panel on the card with stampin up Fancy fans, and die cut a spellbinder Fancy tags two for the sentiment which was a stamp from my stampin up curly cute set.The initials were cut using my cricut machine and storybook cartridge, and I finished it all off with ribbon and perfect pearls.Today I have been paractising my colouring with my new prismacolour pencils, and now I am off to put my coloured images onto some cards. A wedding card

I I did this card for an order, and the colour scheme was based on the colour scheme of the invitation – all cream and white. The cardstock is a lovely pearlescent cardstock, and the bottom of the card has a specialty paper that is very textured. I cut my hearts with an x-cut heart die, and added a heart buckle to my ribbon. I used a swiss dots embossing folder on the bottom heart for a little more texture, and just used peel offs for the sentiment which was stuck on to a spellbinders label 17 die cut which had been trimmed to size. All that was needed to finish were a few kaisercraft pearls.Sometimes it’s hard to know where to start when it comes to colours for a wedding card if you don’t know the Brides colour scheme, but in those situations I don’t think you can go wrong copying the colour scheme of the invitation – there’s usually a hint there! Marry Me….

This is a very early post for me today, but I wanted to put up this special card, as it was made for my cousin who is getting married today – Best wishes Karen and Danny – It was going in the post so I had to really restrict my inner blingness, and the Bridesmaids dresses are red so I wanted to incorporate that too. I used pearlescent card, and the stamped image and sentiment are from Stampin Up Marry Me set. The cardstock is Stampin Up real red. I used my cuttlebug swiss dots folder, stampin Up bird punch for the leaves, and Martha Stewart Hydrangea punches for the flowers. Liquid pearls – hope they are o.k. in the post – and assorted lace finished it off. Now I am off to te craft room to do an order that has just come through and needed for tonight… Til tomorrow….

Hello, welcome to my new subscriber, and happy valentines day to you all! I might just fall asleep in front of the t.v…… Til tomorrow….

Bo Bunny Enchanted 2

Yesterday was an engagement card, and today is a Wedding card! Here I have used Stampin up basic black cardstock with a few of Bo Bunnys’ Noteworthy Journal die cuts ( Enchanted) layered on top of one another, and edges inked. I have also added flowers and beaded ribbon. Mum, Kay and I had a lovely day  visiting a crafty friend who lives in the Adelaide hills, so we had a nice drive, and stopped to by some fresh produce from a roadside stall on the way. Very relaxing, and just what the doctor ordered after a busy week at work.Tonight I intend to continue crafting with the supplies I pulled out today to take to Sandy’s as I have to confess we did a fair  amount of chatting and not too much crafting! Great fun…. Til tomorrow…..

Embedded embossing with cuttlebug

Today I taught my class over at Paper Flourish, and it was all about embedded embossing, and this is one of the cards we created. The Heart is glued onto the card and then run through ths cuttlebug, which gives a great embedded effect. I used the devine swirls cuttlebug folder, and cuttlebug hearts die.I also used shiny silver cardstock, and a bit of white ribbon to hide the seam, and finish off the card. This afternoon I have been coming up with some ideas for my village lesson in a week or so, and must get back to it now, til tomorrow…..
