Double pocket card

This card was the third one at last months village lesson. I have called it a double pocket card . We made a tag for the first pocket, and an envelope to hold gift cards for the second pocket. The pockets were easy to construct – two pieces of paper/cardstock the same size as the front of the card, one folded down a little further than the other, and stuck on three sides with double sided tape, but not across the top  allowing us to tuck in our tag and envelope. Just a button and twine to finish this one!You could make a bookmark instead of a tag or envelope if you wanted – we put our greeting on the tag, but you could put the greeting on the front of the card, and maybe slip in a book voucher if you made the book mark….lots of potential for this design! October Afternoon farm Girl Number 5

Number 5 in my October afternoon farm Girl series, and for this one I used a lovely gingham patterned paper to cover my card blank,and a strip of paper on the side, punched with a martha stewart punch, and highlighted with a little ric rac. three lovly buttons threaded with bakers twine down the opposite side, and I fussy cut the farm girl from another piece of the patterned paper.Thats the last of the animal images, tomorrow we move on to what else you can do with this wonderful collection.I taught a class this morning with my lovely ladies, and had a terrific time with them, as always. I came home full of ideas for my March classes, so have been creating in the craft room, and will head back there now while I am in the Zone! Til tomorrow….

October Afternoon farm Girl number 4

A very late post tonight – it’s been incredibly hot here today, and only now have I been able to sit in comfort at the computer! This is one of my favourite cards as it combines all the elements I love – fussy cutting,buttons, bakers twine, ric rac, the use of paper scraps ( the strip I used threaded through the gorgeous ribbon slider – not just for ribbon)The paper is of course October Afternoon farm Girl.And so to bed -  til tomorrow….

October Afternoon Farm Girl number 1 and 2

I loved working with this new paper from October Afternoon, called farm Girl. The images on one of the 12 x 12 sheets of paper were crying out to be fussy cut, ( that is the little girl with an assortment of animals) and the other papers in the collection are gorgeous and bright. I used a Martha stewart punch,Bakers twine, flower rhinestones, and ric rac ( which I found in my Late grans sewing bits and pieces). in Particular the ric rac and bakers twine go perfectly with this paper.I fussy cut a few flowers from another piece of paper in the collection to finish. This was such an easy collection to work with – I made a lot of cards all in  one sitting, and for once had no bits of papers left over ! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Tutle Dove 21,22,23,24,25,26!

I have been busy with Kaisercraft Turtle Dove 6″ pad and matching stamps and collectables. six to show today, four tomorrow, then I promise I will stop even though I still have lots of paper left . This collection was worth the money – it’s not often I make so much out of one collection – I usually lose interest or move on, but this paper is so inspiring I could just keep on going, but it’s possible you will all get sick of seeing it! The card on the top left was made using an image from a 12 x 12 sheet,as was the card next to it, all the rest were from my 6″ pad. The stamps that were released with this collection are great, and I have used them on a couple of the cards. Otherwise just added bakers twine, the odd button, liquid pearls, and ribbon to complete these ones. I am in the craft room today revisiting some old collections to make room in my shelves for the new releases that are due out at the end of this week.Til tomorrow….

crate paper little boy blue 4,5,6,7, baby boy cards

Crate Paper little Boy Blue patterned paper makes excellent Baby Boy cards. Here are 4 I made with the 3 sheets of paper I purchased. I just added ribbon, bakers twine, buttons, and Dummies that I picked up from the local $2 shop. I used a scalloped edge punch, and thats it !No cardmaking today – it’s my birthday, and I’ve been out to lunch, and now waiting to see if anyone is organising tea! Til tomorrow….

Crate paper Little Boy Blue

I found in my archives a group of cards that I haven’t shown, although I made them a little while ago, and had a very hard time remembering the name of the paper – thank goodness for google – Crate Paper Little boy Blue. I only purchased 2 or 3 sheets of this paper, but got quite a lot of cards out of it – here are the first two.I used a scalloped edge punch, and made good use of my button tin and bakers twine for these two. The cardstock is Stampin Up real red. I am busy today organising some lessons, and the craft room clean up continues…. Til tomorrow…

Prima Zephyr Collection

I feel in the mood for something bold and bright this afternoon, and this card fits the bill nicely! The paper, chipboard and Journalling notecard are all from the Prima Zephyr collection,and the sentiment and Pool Party seam binding are from stampin Up.The butterfly was die cut using Memory Box Moonlight and Kaliedascope butterfly  dies, and I used a little bakers twine as well. I kept the canvas keys til last because these are something new I found and I love them.  They are Prima  resist canvas ( the pack these came from was the clocks, gears and keys pack). Its a pack chock full of die cut shapes, and when you colour them – I used a tim holtz ranger ink pad and a blending tool, there is a pattern that resists the ink.  I bought the pack with the birds in it too, which I haven’t used yet, but may get the opportunity now that my week – end has started – Yay!So looking forward to getting into the craft room and playing wiht all my new paper purchases! London Market number 3

This is another card made with my Pink Paislee London market 6″ papers, and ephemera pack. I added some Stampin Up goodies to this one my young vermillion stamp – first stamped then coloured with my sponge daubers, and leaves die cut with my little leaves die, and some bakers twine to thread through the bunting. I have turned on the heater in the craft room, and intend to have a long session in there tonight – I am feeling very creative! Til tomorrow….

A mix of papers and some twine…

I have combined a couple of different papers here for this male birthday card ( would work just as well for Fathers day. From the base – Stampin Up cardstock – Not quite navy, the backfground paper and banner – Simple stories Awesome, the tag – stampin up naturals ivory, the denim pocket – october afternoon sasparilla. The pocket was stamped with my kazzazz stamp – large pocket, and then cut out – looks like the real thing doesn’t it? and I added craftworkcards candi and threaded the tag with stampin up bakers twine.This is a great card if you are giving a gift voucher because is fits into the pocket.  Someone today was my 50,ooo th visitor – that’s exciting and what keeps me blogging – thank you all so much for continuing to visit!
