I made this card for my Boss’s birthday, and when it was made I realised it wasn’t going to fit into the envelope without ruining the whole effect of the flower, so I came up with this matching box, which was so successful it resulted in a rather large order, and more coming in all the time, so at the moment I am up to my eyes in cards in boxes!I will show a couple more over the next couple of days, but now the challenge is to make some male themed ones – that’s the next order I will be working on over the weekend. Anyway, for this one I used Bo Bunny enchanted patterned paper, and matching brads, and my sizzix tattered floral die with a prima leaf and sprays of pearls. Once you have the hang of these boxes, I have discoverd it is quite easy to change the size to match any size card, the only thing to remember is to keep the measurements within 12 x 12, otherwise you will run out of cardstock! Todays card uses Prima Tea Thyme patterned papers, and a couple of dies – memory box la rue flourish, and Sizzix Tim Holtz caged bird. The bird I used in the cage is from a packet of Prima resist canvas. these are wonderful things! You can colour them to match your project, and when you do a pattern appears on the canvas! Wonderful! I just added some seam binding and bling to finish.I completed my special orders today, and am now back to Christmas cards. It’s back to work tomorrow so probably won’t get too much achieved in the craft room until the end of the week – til tomorrow….

Hello and welcome to my recent new subscribers. If there is ever anything you want to see more of, or need clearer instructions, or just want to say hi, please feel free to drop me a line!Today we are still on my Prima Zephyr patterned paper collection, also using the matching journalling notecards and chipboard. The rest of this paper still has not turned up in my craft room, but it is in there somewhere, so one day in the future I will stumble upon it and get to finish using it! On this card I also added a flower, ribbon, hat pin and the greeting was a stamp that was free on the front of a magazine – it seemed to fit so well!Today I have been in the craft room making baby boy cards – I had 3 sheets of paper, and so far I am up to card number 7 with them – I am going to run out of paper before I run out of ideas – next weekend I will get Nathan to photo them so I can show you all! I designed this card for my paper flourish lesson this month, and it is deceptively simple, all the ladies managed it with ease. This is the one I tried out at home first to make sure the whole idea would work, so I used what I had on hand in my craft room, for my lesson we had different items poking out of the drawers, and instead of the brads I used for the drawer handles we used Craftworks candi. The cardstock used here was Stampin Up pink piroutte and whisper white, and scraps of lace, ribbon and bling used to hang out of the drawers. The interesting bit is how to get the legs – I used a spellbinders labels 17, and positioned it on the folded cardstock so that just the top bit is on the card. When run through the cuttlebug it cuts through both thicknesses of card, and just cuts the top part of the shape which looks like legs on the drawers. I imagine lots of uses for this card – it would be great as a new baby card, and you could do it in blue for a boy.Instead of a top drawer you could stamp cup images etc and put a piece of acrylic over the top to resemble a glass door- a great kitchen tea card… any more ideas? For today, I am still doing a rather large order – almost finished, then onto creating some new ideas for my september and october classes, which of course will be all about christmas. I saw these two dies – memory box rounded fence and wrought iron gate, and couldn’t resist them! I have teamed them with a couple of spellbinders dies – Picot edge cirle and a label die, and a Stampin Up sentiment stamp from the perfectly penned set. I just added some lace, one of my hand crocheted doilies, and a bought flower although next time I will make my own! The paper is from a 6″ paper pad by melissa francis called Cest La vie. I sponged all the edges with Tim Holtz spun Sugar ink. No cardmaking tonight as its shopping night – Til tomorrow….

Female female birthday, handmade card ideas, handmade cards, Mothers day, prima chipboard, prima flowers, Prima Meadow lark collection 1 Comment
A complete change of colour scheme today, with my new papers from Prima – Meadow lark. I do like lavenders, lilacs and mauves and I don’t think these colours are used enough! Here I have covered a card blank with some of the paper, and added matching flowers and a chipboard piece which I stamped with Stampin Up Perfectly Penned sentiment, ribbon and Magnolia chandelier garland.I think the next day or two will be spent doing one last big push to complete some Mothers day cards. I might even dig out some older papers to see if I can finish a couple more collections we will see…Til tomorrow….

Here is a card with a couple of firsts… The first card I made with Kaisercrafts new paper collection – Charlottes dream, and the first card i made with my new die made by memory box called La Rue Flourish. It is the most dainty die – I worried that it wouldn’t work well through my cuttlebug, but I have purchased a metal adapter plate to add to the cuttlebug sandwich, and it works like a dream! I also used my well used Sizzix tattered florals ( a most popular addition to my cards – Every card with one of these flowers on it sold at the market today), Stampin up Bird punch for the leaves, and some gorgeous lace , which I just wanted to keep… to finish it off. As I mentioned a busy day at the market, and beautiful weather, but so tired now, I will just be sitting in front of the T.V. tonight.. Til tomorrow….
Kaisercraft These days number 7..
March 22, 2012
Female, Mothers day bling, female birthday, kaisercraft these days, mothers day card idea, ribbon, using doilies Leave a comment
I can’t believe how many cards I have made from this Kaisercraft These Days paper collection. I would normally space the posts out a little bit so that you don’t all get bored seeing the same papers, but as Nathan was busy last weekend we didn’t take any photos of my cards, – tomorrow will be photo day. I added a doily, ribbon, a bling flourish and used my cuttlebug to die cut a sizzix tattered floral which was put together with a kaisercraft brad. I fussy cut around one of the papers for the roses along the bottom of the card.Another Mothers day card done! Til tomorrow….
