Hi, and welcome to all my new subscribers. Today I am starting a new group of cards, made using Bo Bunny Surprise papers. I only purchased 5 of the 12 x 12 papers in this collection, but have made So many cards with it – and all different! I love the bright colours, perfect for young people, and one sheet ( the cut out sheet) had all the images that I have used for the focal points of my cards. I teamed the papers up with a selection of Stampin Up cardstock, did some fussy cutting and/or matting and these cards were all made in an afternoon. For these two I added a little glitter and rhinestones. After a long week the weekend is finally here, 3 days off and I am so looking forward to spending some quality time in the craft room. I bought some dylusions spray today, and a new stamp set so I am looking forward to experimenting – I will let you know how that goes! Til tomorrow….

This afternoon I taught a class over at the retirement village which reminded me I didn’t show you all the cards I taught last month over there, so here’s the first one – very simple – cardstock is all stampin up – Pool Party, blushing bride( which is the card base) and whisper white. The embossing folder is Stampin up fancy Fan folder, and the border punch used is martha Stewart lace doily punch. I found the middle of the embossed piece of cardstock , cut down 4 cms, and folded each cut back to create the V necked sweater. The buttons are craftworks craft candii, and liquid pearls for the necklace. Have a look at your embossing folders – I’ll bet one of them would work for this design!A lovely evening last night spent in the craft room, and I am heading in there again this evening as all my lot are busy putting on a wrestling show…..peace…..Til tomorrow….

Here is the third village card, made using the spellbinders nested dies. I can’t take credit for this particular design – I saw something very similar in a magazine, which actually prompted me to buy these dies! The tea cups are turned upside down and used as flowers, and a Cheery Lyn tropical flourish acts as our flower stem. I just added a few butterflies punched with a Martha Stewart punch, and a greeting and window punch for the greeting ( both from stampin Up) . The cardstock is stampin Up Tangerine Tango.I have some projects on the go in my craft room, but once again the hot weather is holding me back! Til tomorrow….

This is the second card we made over at the retirement village on the weekend . I used the largest nested tea cup die as a vase for the kaisercraft flowers, and some punched fronds(Martha Stewart punch) and Die -namic fancy flourish die. I embossed the bottom of the vase with a border embossing folder, and the cardstock used was Stampin Up rich razzleberry and perfect plum. I have spent some time today making cards with the new graphic 45 secret Garden, and will get Nathan to photo them this weekend so that I can show them next week, and now I have moved on to some mens cards.Til Tomorrow….

Yesterday I taught a class over at the retirement village, and we focused on finding different ways to use Spellbinders nested Tea cups dies. Here is the first card, using the dies as they were meant to be used – Tea cups! The cardstock is stampin Up Pink Pirouette, as is the ribbon, and the paper is also stampin up but sadly it is retired.I also used an EK success border punch.Good news – my comment button is fixed! see post below for instructions if you have difficulty, but it is straight forward now I believe.I will be in the craft room tonight planning out some lessons for April, then hopefully a bit of time to play with the new graphic 45 Secret Garden papers, which I can’t wait to cut into! A rare scrapbook page….

Now and again , I take a little break from cards, and create a scrapbook page. I am very new to scrapbooking, and because all in my family are males, I don’t get to break out the bling, so really have to rely on techniques and layering to create interest. For this page i used Stampin Up textured cardstock for the base, and more mustard, sahara sand, basic black and soft suede cardstock. I grabbed some random leaf stamps and sponged the images with old olive and more mustard, and I cut the wheelbarrow using my cricut and Walk in my Garden cartridge. The wheelbarrow was a handy spot to tuck my tag into! Dont forget to scroll down to see the whole page! Til tomorrow….

Todays card is made purely by utilising my cuttlebug and a couple of dies. The embossing folder is Cuttlebug Goochie script, and the 2 dies used are sizzix flowers – 3d ( for the flowers) and Cheery Lyn tropical flourish. I used stampin up cardstock, and did a bit of layering with Old olive,Pumpkin Pie and very vanilla, and just added a ribbon bow to finish. This is really a simple card, and would look good in a number of different colour combinations!I am all crafted out today, so i am going to have a bit of a break and watch some T.V. tonight! Here is a different style of card for me – hardly any patterned paper! I have relied on stamps and dies for this one. Everything on this cards Stampin Up – the patterned paper is from the comfort cafe designer paper collection, the stamps are from the Layered Labels stamp set, the dies are from the Apothecary accents framelits die set, cardstock and ink are Cajun craze and soft suede, and even the ribbon is stampin up – crumbcake! I have quite a few projects on the go in the craft room today, which is highly unusual for me – I like to finish one thing before I start on another, so tonight my mission is to clear up some of the outstanding projects.Til tomorrow….

Chest of Drawers Baby cards

Since i taught this card in a lesson last month I have had a lot of positive feedback on it, with many comments from mu ladies saying they have made quite a few more for other people. I think I posted previously the one we made, but since then I have experimented a little and turned them into baby cards, which is what is shown here. The cardstock is Stampin Up pretty in Pink, Bashful blue and whisper white, and I have used buttons and candiworks candi for the drawer handles. I think what people like is the shape at the bottom, which I achieved by using a labels 17 ( although in my class it was a labels 16, but any spellbinders label die with the shaped top will give you the same look) . You fold your cardstock in half and pop the die just on the bottom of the two thicknesses of card, and there you have a nice shaped piece of furniture!.No crafting for me tonight as I have another class to teach – two in one day – it’s great! Til tomorrow….
