IMG_0347 (Medium)IMG_0348 (Medium)two more bird cards made with graphic 45 Safari Adventure papers. The top card has a fair bit of fussy cutting, with a bow and bling, while the bottom card is so simple. I loved the background paper and didn’t want to cut into it or hide it so I just added a little tag in the bottom corner, with some fussy cut flowers layered onto that for a bit of height, and a kaisercraft starlet at the top of the tag.Busy in the craft room today doing some orders, and some more mens cards for Fathers day, the weather is lovely today so I will enjoy sitting out in the sun too! Til tomorrow….

IMG_0345 (Medium)IMG_0346 (Medium)Graphic 45 Safari adventure isn’t all about animals, there are some gorgeous images of birds in this collection too.On the top card I did a little fussy cutting, and layering, and added some hessian and a button. The bottom card is straight forward layering, with the postage stamps cut from some of the patterned paper. I matted the border on the left hand side on some plain cardstock for definition. No other embellishing on this one!Til tomorrow…..

IMG_0342 (Medium)Quick post today, Graphic 45 Safari Adventure.I layered a piece of the green patterned paper from the collection onto my card base, trimmed back the image, fussy cut a tag from another piece of the collection, and stuck on a button ( which looking at the photo appears to have slipped down a bit – will have to check that!Meanwhile imagine the button on the top of the tag!!)Til tomorrow….

IMG_7625 (Medium)For the final couple of cards made with kaisercraft Bonjour (another paper collection done and dusted!) I made Cards in boxes. The butterfly papers in this collection were perfect for this style of card, and I attached them with acetate so they look like they really are fluttering around. A new range of papers tomorrow, til then….

Tim Holtz Crazy Birds ( 7,8)

IMG_7582 (Medium)IMG_7583 (Medium)It’s Bird Crazy time !I stamped the bird images onto watercolour paper and coloured with distrss inks, and then fussy cut out. The main reason I wanted to show these cards ( and the two following tomorrow) was for the backgrounds. I taped my watercolour card onto my craft mat with some low tack tape – I used washi tape and this step was done to give the white border around the card. I coloured the whole piece with a light shade of distress ink and sponge, and then stenciled through with darker inks using a variety of stencils. If you don’t have stencils you can use the negativeĀ  waste from your die cuts, which I have been known to do! For the bottom card I die cut some letters for the Be Cool. When your inked background is finished remove the washi tape, ( Slowly so the card doesnt rip). Til tomorow….

Kaisercraft Little one, card in a box

IMG_7590 (Medium)These two cards are the reason I had this paper ( kaisercraft Little one) out on my desk the other day. I fussy cut the elephants and owls out of some of the 12 x 12 papers in the collection, and made my boxes ( video coming I promise – they are so simple you will be amazed!) and fixed the fussy cutting onto strips of acetate.they wobble about nicely!I have since had to make more owls cards because the three I initially made have gone – I sent one to my Auntie in Perth and it handled the post perfectly and was only the cost of a normal stamp! Much cooler day here and after the week of humidity we have had it is so welcome. Looking forward to a weekend of playing with my new stampin up supplies! til tomorrow…..

younger boy cards

IMG_6505 (Medium)IMG_6507 (Medium)Younger boy cards today, the top card is made with some October Afternoon paper which was forgottenĀ  in a drawer, and although it doesn’t show in the photos I have fussy cut a couple of the ducks to pop on top with foam pads for a bit of a 3d feel. The bottom card was also made with some paper found in the same drawer, and I can’t tell you the brand name as the identity strip had been cut off! This paper had little cute animals printed over it so I die cut a couple of them out with my spellbinders circles die, and I punched some scallop edges out of plain cardstock with my stampin up borders punch.Off to work now…til tomorrow….
