Oh so succulent stamp set..

IMG_0035 (Medium)For this card I used the Stampin Up Oh so succulent stamp set, stampin onto¬† watercolour card and colouring with inks. Although I have the matching die set i found it quicker and easier to fussy cut the images myself. On another piece of white card I did a watercolour wash in blue, stuck down half a doily, die cut a circle and trimmed it to a pot shape, and then arranged my plants! I trimmed some of the front of the card off, and added a strip of patterned paper on the back part of the card. I truly enjoyed making this card even if I did spend a little bit of time on it! I have been busy this week making orders, 12 at last count, but everything is caught up with now and I am hoping to cut into my new papers ( 2 lots now.. Kaisercraft High tea and sage and grace) in the coming days. til tomorrow….

Hey Chick…a fun card..

IMG_7096 (Medium) A stamped and coloured card today, made with a fun stamp set from Stampin Up called Hey Chick. I stamped the chickens onto watercolour card, and stamped an extra one on a scrap. Coloured with ink pads and an aquabrush, coloured the extra one and fussy cut it out and popped it on the card with 3d foam pads. I punched a tag and stamped with the sentiment ( which was in the stamp set and found some prima wooden alpha blocks to finish, although I did toss up whether to die cut the U R letters which would have worked too. This was just a very quick make to try out the stamps but I love the chickens! Today is a day off, so i have been catching up on computer related tasks, and ruminating….Apparently my classes on the cruise were very popular and I have been asked if I want to do it all over again next year. I have to check with a few people…my boss, and my right hand sister helper, but I am pretty sure I will be cruising again next year! Yay! til tomorrow….

Stampin Up Tuscan Vineyard continued..

IMG_0322 (Medium)IMG_0323 (Medium)Here are the other two cards I made with all stampin up supplies, and the Tuscan Vineyard stamp set.The top card has an interesting background – I created an oval mask and then rolled over the vanilla cardstock with suede ink and a sponge roller. The resulting background looks like a sandstone wall which fits in perfectly with the theme of the card.Quick post today as I have just accepted a job on a cruise ship for a 7 day trip as an arts/crafts instructor and I have to plan out the lessons. Great excitement here, but will have to wait until March for the trip!Til tomorrow…

Tuscan Vineyard stampin up set..

IMG_0320 (Medium)IMG_0321 (Medium)I think I mentioned the other day that I would post some stamped cards, here are a couple of them and we will continue with them next post as well. All of these cards are made with one stamp set from Stampin up called Tuscan Vineyard, and all supplies used are by Stampin Up as well. The top card….I die cut a circle in some vanilla cardstock, and die cut the scenery stamp as well – the scenery stamp is actually shaped in an oval, so made that decision super easy! I coloured the scene with inks and an aquabrush, and stamped the swirls in the corners to finish. The lower card….I stamped the grapes on watercolour cardstock, coloured with inks and an aquabrush and fussy cut.Stamped the swirl down the outer edge of vanilla cardstock, wrapped a ribbon around, and attached all to card base.( the sentiment is from an older stampin up stamp set). This afternoon I am in the craft room working on september lessons and it’s all about Christmas! Have you started your Christmas cards yet? Time is flying and it will be upon us before we know it! Til tomorrow….

sail away 11, and kaszazz lighthouse/pelican stamps..

IMG_0686 (Medium)I am calling this post sail away but really the only thing on here from the kaisercraft sail away collection is the background paper, which I inked a little bit more to enhance the green at the bottom. The rest is Kaszazz stamps which I stamped onto white cardstock, coloured with copic markers, fussy cut out and stuck onto the card front. The gull i stamped directly onto the card front. I do like creating these little scenes! This morning I have packed away all my christmas craft supplies, and i have quite a bit left to get me started next year, which is good because the christmas ranges always come into store too late for me!Til tomorrow….

Bird crazy 5 and 6..

IMG_0706 (Medium)IMG_0710 (Medium)Here are the last two Bird crazy cards for now. I have made some more since making these – I can’t help it – I love the humour. The top one was done with lots of stamping and masking to get the group scene, and coloured lightly with distress inks and a paintbrush, and the bottom one was made just for me feeling sorry for myself at the time when I couldn’t do anything before my knee operation. It cheered me up (and I have since stuck a banner saying thinking of you over my play on words in the top corner). This one is a little different because I made the background, something I have done a lot of lately because I love getting out my stencils, inks, blending sponges, stipple brushes, stamps and just mixing colours together to see what works . One good thing¬† – I have had a lot of time in the craft room to just try things, going to miss that when I go back to work!Til tomorrow..

Crazy Birds 3 and 4

IMG_0704 (Medium)IMG_0705 (Medium)Another 2 cards made with Tim Holtz crazy birds stamp sets, and these ones were inspired by my fellow teacher Kasia Leach.I added my own little touches such as the messy painting behind the bird in the bottom card – that was achieved with a stampin up stamp set and some splashes of water. I coloured the birds with distress inks and a paintbrush, they were stamped onto watercolour paper, and the card bases are stampin up cardstock.Another hot day here, but I have finally moved almost permanently into the craft room, so a sign I am feeling much better! Til tomorrow…..
