IMG_7630 (Medium)IMG_7634 (Medium)Here are the last two Kaisercraft sears and sons cards for now, I am sure they will make a re-appearance around fathers day! The top card is all papers and collectables from the kaisercraft sears and son collection, and the bottom card ( my favourite) also makes use of a sizzix hat and moustache die and some googly eyes. the sentiment stamp is stampin up bitty banners. Today I am off to a garden party at a heritage home in posh Adelaide! I have wanted to see inside the grounds of this lovely old house for years now, and today they have opened it to the public. It’s going to be quite hot today but there is a lot of shade to take advantage of, and I will fill my water bottle and dig out my hat!i am off now to find my camera…til tomorow….

IMG_7628 (Medium)IMG_7629 (Medium)The good thing about revisiting this collection is that since purchasing it I have some more mens stuff that fit really well with the theme, so today I have combined the Kaisercraft sears and son collection with my Stampin Up guy greetings stamp set. the car on the top card is stamped with one of the stamps as are all the greetings.the bottom card relies on matching collectables, and greetings from the stamp set. Buttons, twine and die cut number ( kaisercraft die) to finish.Housework for today is completed so I am looking forward to sitting uninterrupted in the craft room for a few hours – I have an order to fulfill ,then back to Mothers day cards and a bit of relaxing! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Sears and son 10 and 11

IMG_7626 (Medium)IMG_7627 (Medium)I had to make some age cards for men, so I dug out some older paper from Kaisercraft – Sears and son, and the matching collectables. I used a new technique on the top card, one that I have been doing on a few cards lately – embedded embossing. I fussy cut some images from the paper ,stuck it on my background piece and ran it through an embossing folder ,in this case a kaisercraft brand called postcards. I just added some twine, and a button for some added interest. I have a class this morning and so looking forward to seeing my ladies,so I must make a move. til tomorrow….

Two cards tonight!

IMG_2868 (Medium)IMG_2869 (Medium)Due to all the posts i have missed because of the loss of our internet over the last few weeks, I have a back log of cards to show, so for the  next week or so I will post a couple each night to try and catch up, so tonight we have two cards i made using Kaisercraft Sears and son paper and matching collectables. Both these cards have the same theme -of using the collectables to make a rosette, and I think it works quite well. I inked around all my edges with tea dye distress ink. I have made a few more christmas cards today, but I have to stop making for now and put in all the inserts – a bit boring, and a job that I seem to leave until I can’t ignore the pile any longer! Til tomorrow…

Kaisercraft Sears and son male cards

IMG_2866 (Medium)We will keep going with the ideas for male cards, this time using Kaisercraft Sears and son paper collection. This was one they released last year, but I haven’t found anything since that comes close to making good cards for men. This one uses a piece  of the 12 x 12 paper, scraps of other matching papers, and one of the collectables out of the matching pack. I went to town on the distressing, and then inked around everything with Tea dye ink. It’s been a great day in the craft room today, I did a couple of cards for orders, just a couple more to do, and I did a couple of cards for various challenges, as well as digging out my  graphic 45 french country papers and playing with that – that is still out on my table, so I am heading back there now to continue while the ideas are flowing! Til tomomorrow….

Sears and Son 5( mens cards)

IMG_8708 (Medium)I made good use of the collectables from the Kaisercraft Sears and Son collection on this card. String around the top for them to hang off, and a couple of Kaisercraft brads to hold the tag. The tag was die cut using a stampin up die, and the sentiment stamp, and cardstock were also stampin up.This is a good sketch for teenage boy cards, and it will be my go -to design for those really difficult cards! IMG_8707 (Medium)More cards on cards today – Sears and Son paper and collectables by Kaisercraft, and for these two cards I embossed some background cardstock using Tim Holtz Alterations embossing folder – Patchwork, which I lightly inked once it came out of the folder. I have spent a productive day in the craft room today playing with some new Prima paper, although I did make a little diversion when I realised that next weekend, besides being Easter is also mum and dads wedding anniversary and mine is shortly after so made a couple of quick anniversary cards. have also realised that we have at least 4 birthdays ( two of them 21sts,) in the next few weeks so will have to get organised for them as well! Til tomorrow…
