Stash Tags!!

IMG_0721IMG_0722I know I said we would see the second shabby lesson card today, but I wanted to show you all something else I have been working on..something new!(We will get to the other shabby card tomorrow) . My workmate Lydell , who is a true artist, is running a class in August called Use your stash, and her ideas and samples are truly amazing and inspired me to grab all the bits and pieces ( die cuts, odds and ends of ribbon, buttons, flowers and papers) that were piled on my desk and turn them into what I am calling Stash Tags. These are made ready to pop on cards and scrapbook layouts and can be stored in one tidy box ready for when I need to make a quick card. Each time I finish creating I will whip up a couple of these to clear up my desk ( that’s the theory anyway!). These ones are actually going to America as a thankyou to a very lovely lady who sent me some beautiful things. I have a few more to make for her and a folder to file them in. I hope this inspires you all to use your stash! Til tomorrow….

Mums Birthday card..

_MG_4594 (Medium)It is my mums birthday, and this is the card I have made for her, although to be completely open and honest, once this photo was taken I added a couple more flowers ( in white) in the left hand bottom corner! It is all done with my Go Press and Foil machine, including the foiled embossed background. The butterfly is foiled on acetate, and I foiled the sentiment as well. a bit of layering and lace, ribbon and flowers and this one is ready for giving to Mum today. Yesterday was spentĀ  ( after a two hour trip to Bunnings to purchase various garden items for Nathan and house paint for me) in the craft room preparing all of June lessons. Glad they are organised because I really have to concentrate on the craft fair in June now. I am looking forward to an enjoyable afternoon at Paper Flourish ( where our on line shop goes live on Tuesday!) with my craft and chat group. til tomorrow…..

Go Press and Foil Card

_MG_9424 (Medium)I am back from my cruise and the time has just flown by! We had a very rough crossing to Tasmania, luckily I didn’t suffer from seasickness but many people did. I had full classes though, and met some lovely ladies, and a few gentlemen!Once we arrived in Tasmania the weather was lovely and cool, a welcome change from here in Adelaide. I have come back to the heat and really will be glad when the cooler weather arrives. Todays card is a card i made using lots of elements foiled with my Go Press and Foil machine ( couture creations). There is a bit of embossing with folders from Kaisercraft just using my big shot die machine, then onto the foiling…. The wooden Rose is by Kaisercraft, the Happy Birthday is chipboard by Dusty attic, and both are foiled with deep red foil through the go press. The oval is also foiled and it is a couture creations stamp, specifically made for the foil machine. I finished my card off with a little bling and a ribbon bow. Til tomorrow…..

_MG_4261 (Medium)Todays card is a very simple elegant card made with just a couple of products. The background paper is My Minds Eye In Bloom and I made the rose with my Go Press and foil machine and an Ana Griffin foil stamp, which I then die cut with an oval die. A black lace bow and that is finished! We have a very hot day today, a bit cooler tomorrow though so that will be a craft day for me while I think about some classes for March!

Kaisercraft Romantique…shabby..

_MG_4253 (Medium) I really haven’t had the time to play with this collection, but I have made a few for you to see. It’s the Kaisercraft Romantique collection and it lends itself beautifully to the whole Shabby Chic style, a style I will embrace once I get over the whole ripping my paper hang up I have! Here, I have layered a few of the 12 x 12 patterned papers, and fussy cut an acetate butterfly – in this collection there is a whole sheet of these butterflies and I love them! The leaves are die cut with creative expressions dies, and I inked around every edge with Tea Dye distress ink. I tied a big bow and on top of that I glued a Prima flower with dangly bits that I have been holding onto for ages! The top layer of patterned paper has a lacey print but at the bottom of it I added my own lace in a taupe colour ( Stampin Up lace). I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas break, with family and friends, I can’t believe that’s Christmas over for another year! we still have our son home for another few days before he flys back to Sydney next week so the celebrations continue on here ! Til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Mint Wishes number 1…

_MG_2612 (Medium)Quick post this afternoon! I have been busy working this week, so having been a bit lax on the posting front! Today has been another busy day with work this morning, and grocery shopping this afternoon, but I wanted to make a little bit of time to post the last Christmas 2017 series which is Kaisercraft Mint Wishes.Just a few cards in this series , I only bought 4 sheets of paper, including the sticker sheet, because the paper was perfect for my christmas double zig zag cards. For this first card I used the same sheet for both panels, fussy cut some baubles from the second sheet, a strip from the third sheet for the smaller zig zag, and a greeting from the sticker sheet mounted onto scrap white cardstock. It is a hot day here in Adelaide today, so I am off to cool down in the shower, then a seat for a little while under the air conditioner! til tomorrow…..

Kaisercraft Letters to Santa 5 and 6..

_MG_9847 (Medium)_MG_9848 (Medium)Hello There! continuing on with my Kaisercraft Letters to Santa series, the top card uses the 6″ pad, collectables and ribbon, as well as some kindyglitz for shimmer, and some red Nuvo drops for my berries. The lower card is a gatefold design, with papers from the 6″ pad and images from the 12 x 12 pull apart sheet, and a couple of the collectables as well. I like doing gatefold cards for Christmas cards because it’s quick and easy to decorate the inside panel rather than having to stop and prepare an insert ! Quick post this afternoon, I will sign off now and go and prepare some dinner, til tomorrow….
