A quick card..

img_3537-mediumWhile I had the Kaisercraft true Romance papers out practising my pleating skills I made a very quick card to pop in the box ready for next year(!),I know but I go where the inspiration leads me..Just two pieces of layered paper , inked around the edges with tea dye ink,a fussy cut flower, and one of the tags that came with the collection.A bow to tie in the colours of the butterfly and bird, and the little doily under the tag and this was a very quick make.I am still nursing my sore shoulder, off to the Dr shortly because it has to be better before I fly over to Sydney at the end of the week to visit my son who works over there!Til tomorrow….

more mothers day cards – Kaisercraft Cottage Rose..

IMG_6439IMG_6440Another Mothers day card, this time using kaisercrafts new release paper Cottage Rose. This is my kind of paper, and for this gatefold card I have used the 6″ pad. The panel on the front is from a piece of the 12 x 12 paper, and I have used Prima flowers to decorate. I have included 2 photos so that you can see ( sort of) how I decorated the inside panel as well. All the little leaves and twiggy branches were die cut with a great new die from kaisercraft – I love it, and all my scrap green papers are now die cut with it and stored in a container on my desk so that I always have foilage at my fingertips! Today is Village lesson day, so I must head to the craft room to get all my gear together, and remind myself what we¬† are making- tomorrow I will post pictures of the cards the ladies created.Til tomorrow….

Mothers day, prima tales of you and me

IMG_6433Prima Tales of you and me paper collection and matching die cuts, with some gorgeous prima flowers, and some recycled beading and lace. The birdcage is by kaisercraft and I found it in the bottom drawer of my craft room – a drawer I don’t go into very often but will be sorting out soon to see if there are any more fantastic finds like this one, in there! I inked over the birdcage with tea dye distress ink, and I made my card a DL size ( that’s a 21 x 21 piece of cardstock folded in half and fits into a DL envelope – the size envelope that you don’t like to see in your letterbox cos it’s usually a bill!) to accomodate the tallness of the birdcage! A day off today, shopping done, and i am off to Paper Flourish to seek out new papers! Til tomorrow…..

Prima tales of you and me 1 and 2 Mothers day

IMG_6430IMG_6434The next few cards are Mothers day cards, and I took the photos with my little point and shoot, as Nathan was busy and I needed to get them into my for sale boxes, so the quality may not be up to Nathans standard!I love this new paper range by Prima ( tales of you and me) and I really enjoyed digging through my lace, ribbon and bling, and also did a lot of die cutting. The top card has a kaisercraft die, and the bottom has a memory box fence and gate, and a couture creations lamp post.I die cut a branch in glitter cardstock,I think that one was a kaisercraft die. A bit of fussy cutting, some small flowers, silver thread and a charm.Quick post today as it is back to work for me! til tomorrow….

Kaisercraft Ma Cherie 5 and 6…

IMG_4123 (Medium)IMG_4125 (Medium)Two cards today, both with the same decoration, but one done portrait style, and one done landscape style. Background papers are from the Kaisercraft Ma Cherie 6″ pad. The interesting thing about these two cards …On yesterdays card when I die cut the printed sentiment from the 12 x 12 paper I was left with a spotted frame with a hole in the middle, so for todays’ cards I die cut a circle from more patterned paper to fit the hole, rounded the corner with a fancy corner punch from Stampin Up, and used that to create my focal point – I just had to add a fussy cut butterfly ( this collection has a whole sheet of gorgeous butterflies on it to fussy cut!), some liquid pearls on the top card and gorgeous rose trim on the bottom card. After spending my crafting time this week making mens cards I am ready to break out the lace, flowers, ribbons, pearls and create some vintage cards with my new Prima papers – can not wait!! but first Nathan and I have to go and photograph aforementioned mens cards. til tomorrow……

IMG_7771 (Medium)Todays card with graphic 45 Le Amour is so simple..just a piece of patterned paper a little smaller than my card base, with some lace and ribbon wrapped around it,a ribbon bow and an image cut from one of the other papers in the collection.I think this one would make a good mothers day card!.It has been a lovely weekend here in Adelaide, the weather is mild with just the right amount of sun and the nights have been cool enough to dig out the quilt so good for sleeping! Just what I like! Til tomorrow….
