Go Press and Foil class cards..

_MG_1760 (Medium)_MG_1773 (Medium)I haven’t done many mens cards this year, because there has been a lack of mens card related products, but I did teach a class with the Couture Creations Go Press and Foil machine and some new hot press stamps which actually foil, emboss and die cut all in one step. The background paper is by Stamperia, and the Birthday sentiment is a Uniquely Creative stamp. You can see how the special hot press stamps emboss , foil and die cut perfectly in these cards, the top card I used the “waste” foil as another element on the card and for the bottom card I left the “waste ” foil still on the car as it added a different shade of chocolate foil to the car. I hope all my American followers down south are keeping safe, Til tomorrow…..

Another Mens card

img_3294-mediumI made this card for an order..I die cut an oval and using the waste part I inked through it onto the base card with green and blue inks. I stamped a stampin up cricket set onto various scraps of cardstock and fussy cut the images, and stuck them onto the base card . I kept it all very simple as that is what my customer wanted, and I really like this one!Back to work this week after my holidays, and taking things very easy with my shoulder! til tomorrow….

New mens card!

img_3292-medium I have a couple of Mens cards to show, so today we will start off with the side stepper card I made with some new dies from a new company, Paper rose. They are a South Australian company, and I couldn’t wait to try out the tool dies and the pegboard die. They cut beautifully, and I will be adding some more of their dies to my growing collection! The instruction for my side stepper card is on my You tube channel, you can find the link on the right hand side of my blog. The sentiment is a kaisercraft die, and the rest is just strips of cardstock to mimic the tool drawers. IMG_3179 (Medium)IMG_3181 (Medium)two cards tonight ( as there were last night – one accidently found its way onto the blog – just one I was mucking around with – trying out some colour combos.. I wasn’t even going to put it up here but it obviously had other ideas!)These two cards both use kaisercraft Garage days paper collection and collectables, and I have used kays ( my sisters’  stampin Up die to die cut the card shape). The card on top is going to be my husbands birthday card – it’s not til February but when I make cards sometimes the person they belong to jump out at me and I put them aside in a special box.that way i am not racking my brains at the last moment ! til tomorrow….

Countryside stamp set

IMG_5339 (Medium)Here is a male birthday card I made using a stamp from Stampin Up – Countryside stamp set. i also made one very similar for fathers Day using this same stamp. The cardstock is Stampin Up Early espresso and a light green which has since been retired. I embossed the light green layer with Sizzix brick wall embossing folder, and added a button for some texture. The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners by stampin up. Today was the retirement village ladies Christmas card marathon for the troops, so I popped over there after work for a couple of hours – just in time for a lovely lunch, and was amazed at the display covering quite a few tables of the 300 cards they had made! Well done ladies – what an effort! Til tomorrow…..

IMG_8683 (Medium)Another card made with some old Echo Park papers – For the record, made while I was meant to be clearing out some space for new stuff – this is why my craft room is overflowing – I am too easily distracted! I used stampin up cardstock, and kaisercraft mini sticker letters and a kaisercraft brad for this one along with some mesh.I have had a lovely morning with my mature ladies, and hope to spend a little time in the craft room this evening working on a class for the retirement village ladies. A mix of papers and some twine…

I have combined a couple of different papers here for this male birthday card ( would work just as well for Fathers day. From the base – Stampin Up cardstock – Not quite navy, the backfground paper and banner – Simple stories Awesome, the tag – stampin up naturals ivory, the denim pocket – october afternoon sasparilla. The pocket was stamped with my kazzazz stamp – large pocket, and then cut out – looks like the real thing doesn’t it? and I added craftworkcards candi and threaded the tag with stampin up bakers twine. This is a great card if you are giving a gift voucher because is fits into the pocket.  Someone today was my 50,ooo th visitor – that’s exciting and what keeps me blogging – thank you all so much for continuing to visit! Til tomorrow….
