I don’t know about you, but I need a break from Christmas card makes and I am ready to move on! We may revisit Christmas in the next couple of weeks but for now I am happy to show you all some cards i amde with Stampin Up designer papers. From memory the collection is called Tropical escape and I fussy cut various creatures, large and small. The top two cards are aperture cards – I die cut a circle out of the front of the card and most of the decorating inside, just making a leafy window to look through. The leafy fronds were all fussy cut from the papers. The sun was die cut from a Uniquely Creative die. Today is Cherry picking day, it is a little bit cooler, and the sun is hiding behind a blanket of clouds so good weather to harvest our crop! Til tomorrow…..

Here are some more fun Christmas cards I have made with Stampin Up Santas workshop collection. I have added the bare minimum of embellishing to this group of cards, the papers are already embossed and / or glittered, and I have just fussy cut extra layers for some 3 D effects. I have finished my Christmas makes for this year,( but have so many more to show you ) and normally at this stage I pack up all the Christmas for next year, but this paper is staying out and I will continue to make cards with it throughout the year, it is so much fun to work with! These Pandas are so cute! they are from a stamp set by Stampin Up (party pandas),and I stamped them and fussy cut them out, doing a little colouring with copic pens. I prepared a background piece by using Distress oxide ink pads, and die cut the rectangle with a Seven Paper Dolls cross stitch die. Such a simple card to make and a favourite of mine…Til tomorrow….

Once again for some reason my computer has decided these cards look better on their sides! So please just imagine they are standing in a landscape format!! I have used the same stamp ( from Stampin Up Birthday Blooms) and I have stamped on watercolour paper and coloured with Zig markers as I was experimenting with these wonderful new markers. With one colour you can get a graduation of colour by colouring directly where you want the colour darkest, and then I just pulled the colour around with an aqua brush ( a normal paintbrush and cup of water would also do the job). I scattered some drops of clear Nuvo around to look like water drops, and the dies are a nesting stitch die by seven paper dolls. Matching ribbon trim, a bit of patterned paper on the top card, and a bling flat backed pearl and these were super easy and what I would call clean and simple! Til tomorrow…..

Staying with my new Stampin Up purchases I made this card for my dads birthday at the end of this month with Stampin Up Waterfront stamp set. there are endless possibilities with this stamp set, I just have to find the time to sit down and discover them all! For this card though, I did the background with Distress oxide ink pads, ( love the chalky finish) and then stamped with these Stampin Up inks…Tranquil tide, lost lagoon, always artichome and summer starfruit. I used my stamp press to position the stamps exactly where I wanted them to stamp ( how did we mange without one?) I have been busy this morning catching up on chores around the house so that I can spend a little time in the craft room preparing April classes, so that i am a little ahead when i head off on my cruise at the end of this month. Not long now! til tomorrow….

The first male themed card in my very short mens card series is this one, made using the Stampin Up Stamp set called High Tide. There are a lot of stamps in this set, and you can mix and match to make sceneries such as the one I did here. I stamped the sand first, then the lighthouse ( a darker shade of ink pad for the lighthouse), then the sea,( two shades of ink pad here too), the wisps of grass, wading birds, and gulls to finish. The cardstock was the same stampin up shades as the various inks. I look forward to making more scenes with this stamp set. Yesterday was card order day, and I had a lot of floral cards to make so I got out my scrap cardstock, and various flower and foliage dies and spent a couple of hours just die cutting. Once that was done the cards came together very quickly and I have a lot of die cut flowers left,so this week in between work I will make up some more to have ready for the next order!Til tomorrow….
